Photographs created through the practice of noticing.

Floating Worlds

Photographs exploring reflection, symmetry, and the quiet beauty hidden on the water's surface.

Behind the Image

These photographs are made from my kayak, often during the quiet hours around sunrise and sunset.

Being close to the water changes how I see. Reflections become worlds of their own. A feather becomes a messenger. A leaf becomes a spirit. A flower becomes a dancer suspended in space.

What interests me is not simply photographing nature, but discovering what emerges when we slow down enough to pay attention. These images begin as real reflections and natural forms found on the water, shaped by light, perspective, timing, and observation.

Through the photographic process, I refine and orient the images to reveal what first caught my attention. The figures, characters, and presences viewers discover are not created digitally but they are found within the reflections themselves.

Many people ask, "Did you create that?"

No.

I noticed it.

Each photograph begins with a simple act of noticing.
